Media Evaluation

1 comment:

  1. This is basically good but there are some areas for improvement.

For the last question on skills development you need to add images of your finished prelim task and your main task and compare them in detail, as well as think about how your planning and research developed.

On the representation question you could think about the issue of the objectifcation of women in the images a bit more.

The 'attracting your target audience' question needs a lot more - how did you try to TALK to your specific audience and what sort of a relationship did you try to create with them through the use of language? Did you use lots of second person pronouns? Lots of jokey slangy language or was it more formal? What sort of implied relationship have you created? best friend? Big sister? Authoritative expert on music? And how does your house style (colour scheme, graphics etc) attract the audence? Whay would they notice the cover at point of sale?

The 'learn about technologies' question needs more detail too. What about technology in conducting audience research? Did you use surveymonkey or facebook? What are the advantages/disadvantages of this? And how does evaluating your work on a blog compare to writing an essay about it? Or does Issu give you the best of both worlds?

    Do a good redraft please!
